A must watch. We aren't immune to GMO's in Australia, there are still ins & outs to their labelling especially in imported foods not to mention they don't even need to be listed if they fall into the less than 5% ruling much like many additives in prepackaged foods.
The fact we have GMO crops already growing in Australia should concern all of us.
Is it coincidence that we in Australia have the highest rate of allergies in the western world? Hardly.
Don't know about you, but my kids & I have already been through hell & back with their health & I have spent years & would hate to even begin to think of the monetary value I have invested in getting them to where they are today & i know I still have a long road ahead of me.
We need to vote with our dollars. By Supporting our organic farmers who are standing by what the believe in, traditional farming, working with nature not against it.
Corporations like Monsanto are not here to stop world hunger, increase farmers profits & yields, they might claim that's what their frankenfood will do but it only lines their pockets. What it will do & is doing is create diseases we couldn't have even fathomed 60/70 years ago.
As much as it hurts my bottom line every week I make providing my children with organic /spray free produce to eat as a priority. My kids are not a science experiments & it takes us now, not in 5 years, 10 years time when the side effects will become even more prevalent to stand up for our kids & their kids. Because if we don't stand up for our kids we don't stand for much. In the beginning it's overwhelming, it makes you angry & some days you really wish you could unknown what you now know as it really can get to much but I think back to what life was like even 5 years ago & that gives me the motivation to never go back to that life, clutching a straws, relying on Drs to help when they don't even know the answers themselves.
